We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that account security has been compromised or these Terms have been materially breached.
5. Pricing and Certificate Charges
5.1 Platform Access
Unless otherwise stated, access to the core AiCert° business platform is provided without a recurring monthly platform subscription fee.
The Services may include CRM, job management, scheduling, invoicing, financial tools and other functionality without a monthly platform charge.
5.2 Certificate Issuance
AiCert° currently charges a fee for each certificate issued through the platform.
The current standard certificate issuance fee is:
£1.00 per issued EICR, EIC or MWC certificate.
The applicable price displayed at the time of purchase or issuance will apply.
A certificate that remains a draft and has not been issued will not normally incur the certificate issuance charge.
5.3 Certificate Credits
AiCert° may use a credit-based system for certificate issuance.
Where Certificate Credits are used:
- credits may be purchased or allocated to an account;
- the applicable number of credits will be deducted when a certificate is issued;
- creating or editing a draft does not normally consume a certificate credit;
- users may view their available credit balance within the Services;
- credits may be subject to expiry or other conditions where clearly stated at the time of purchase.
5.4 Taxes
Prices are stated in GBP unless otherwise indicated.
VAT or other applicable taxes will be charged where legally required.
5.5 Price Changes
We may change our prices from time to time.
Where a price change affects a purchase you have already made, the price applicable at the time of that purchase will continue to apply to that transaction.
6. Payments
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe and, where applicable, Apple App Store or Google Play payment systems.
Where payment is processed by a third party, that third party's payment terms may also apply.
We do not normally receive or store your full payment card details.
You authorise the applicable payment provider to process payments associated with your AiCert° account or purchases.
Except where required by applicable law, fees for certificate issuance and consumed digital services are non-refundable once the relevant service has been delivered or the certificate has been issued.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Services for your legitimate internal business purposes.
You may download or print documents generated for your business where the Services permit you to do so.

You must not systematically reproduce, emulate, copy or extract these elements for the purpose of developing, operating or marketing a competing product or service.

- provide the Services;
- maintain the Services;
- provide requested functionality;
- create backups;

You are responsible for ensuring that User Content:
- is accurate;
- is lawful;
- does not infringe third-party rights;
- does not contain malicious software;
- is uploaded and processed in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Where you upload personal data relating to your customers, tenants, property owners, employees or other individuals, you are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis for that processing.
Where applicable, you act as the data controller and AiCert° acts as your data processor in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data processing arrangements.
11. Electrical Certificates and Professional Responsibility
11.1 AiCert° Is Not a Certifying Body
AICERT° IS NOT A CERTIFYING BODY.
AiCert° provides software, workflow tools, document generation, calculations and AI-assisted functionality.
AiCert° does not independently inspect electrical installations and does not itself certify that an installation complies with BS 7671 or any other technical standard.

You must independently verify AI-generated information before relying on it.
13. AI Human-in-the-Loop Requirement
AI-generated information must not be treated as a physical measurement, inspection result, professional certification or substitute for professional judgement.
For certificates:
- the installation must be physically inspected where required;
- required measurements and tests must actually be performed;
- AI-generated information must be reviewed;
- the responsible professional must confirm the information;
- the responsible professional must manually approve and digitally sign the certificate.
AiCert° may maintain audit information identifying fields that were populated or assisted by AI and the subsequent human verification.
14. AI Accuracy and Hallucination Risk
Artificial intelligence systems may occasionally generate inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or fabricated information.
This may include:
- incorrect technical interpretations;
- incorrect regulation references;
- incorrect calculations;
- incorrect equipment identification;
- incorrect defect classifications;
- incorrect recommendations;
- incorrect property or customer information.
You must independently verify relevant information against the applicable primary legislation, regulations, standards, manufacturer instructions and professional guidance before relying on it.
For electrical work, this may include the current edition of BS 7671 and other applicable standards and regulations.
15. AI Data Protection and Model Training
AiCert° is designed so that customer production data is not used to train or fine-tune public or foundation AI models.
Where AI third-party processors are used, AiCert° intends to maintain appropriate contractual restrictions regarding the use of customer production data.
AI processing may include customer-provided text, voice input, photographs, documents and other information where the relevant AI functionality has been enabled.
The applicable processing arrangements, AI providers and safeguards are described in our Privacy Policy and AI Usage & Governance Policy.
We will not knowingly sell your User Content or use your customer data for advertising.

We will only treat information as anonymised where identifying information has been removed to the extent required for the resulting information to no longer constitute personal data under applicable data protection law.
We may use anonymised and aggregated information for legitimate business purposes, including product development, analytics, research and industry insights.
We will not use this provision to disclose identifiable customer information, full property addresses or identifiable inspection records.
17. Location Tracking and Inspection Media
Certain AiCert° features may use:

We may suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe prohibited activity has occurred.
19. Electronic Signatures and Electronic Communications
You agree that electronic communications, electronic records and electronic signatures may be used through the Services where legally permitted.
You are responsible for ensuring that any person applying a digital signature to a certificate is properly authorised and qualified to do so.
An electronic signature applied through AiCert° does not transfer professional responsibility to AiCert°.
You agree to receive operational communications, account notifications, security notifications, service notices and other communications electronically.
20. Third-Party Services and Integrations
AiCert° may integrate with third-party services, including payment providers, email providers, mapping services, cloud infrastructure providers and AI providers.
Examples may include:
- Stripe;
- Gmail;
- AWS;
- AI/LLM providers;
- mapping services;

- Google Play.
Third-party services are subject to their own terms, privacy policies and availability.
AiCert° is not responsible for third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.
If a third-party service becomes unavailable, changes its API, changes its terms or discontinues functionality, corresponding AiCert° functionality may also be affected.
21. Mobile Applications
Where AiCert° is made available through Apple App Store or Google Play, additional platform-specific terms apply.

Where applicable:
- these Terms are between you and AI ENERGY LIMITED, not Apple;

We aim to provide reliable access to AiCert°, but we do not guarantee that the Services will always be:

We may temporarily suspend access for:
- maintenance;
- security updates;

We may add, modify, improve or discontinue features from time to time.
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes affecting the core Services.
23. Data Backup and Records
Although AiCert° may maintain backups and disaster-recovery systems, you remain responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of important business records.
This is particularly important for:
- certificates;
- inspection records;
- invoices;
- financial records;
- photographs;
- regulatory documentation.
AiCert° should not be treated as the sole permanent archive for records that you are legally required to retain.
Our data retention and security practices are described in the Data Retention & Security Policy and Privacy Policy.
24. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access where reasonably necessary because of:

- infringement of AiCert° intellectual property.
Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before termination.
We may terminate access immediately where the circumstances reasonably require immediate action, including suspected fraud, serious security threats or falsification of statutory documents.
Termination does not remove obligations that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property, confidentiality, professional responsibility, liability and dispute provisions.
25. Your Data Following Termination
Following account termination or closure, User Content may remain available for a limited period to allow account administration, legal compliance, backup management and any applicable data retention obligations.
Deletion and retention are governed by our Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Security Policy.
Where applicable, you may request export of your business data before account closure.
Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, legitimate legal interests or statutory retention obligations.

- your breach of these Terms;
- your User Content;
- infringement of third-party rights caused by your User Content;
- fraudulent or falsified certificates created or issued by you;

This provision does not require you to indemnify AiCert° for losses caused by AiCert°'s own unlawful conduct or liability that cannot legally be transferred to you.
29. Confidentiality
You must not disclose confidential information concerning AiCert° that is clearly identified as confidential or that reasonably should be understood to be confidential.
AiCert° will take reasonable measures to protect confidential business information provided by users.
This does not prevent disclosure where required by law, regulation, court order or legitimate law-enforcement request.

32. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law, the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.
If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, nothing in these Terms prevents you from relying upon mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law applicable to your circumstances.
33. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision immediately does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
These Terms, together with the AiCert° Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, AI Usage & Governance Policy, Consent Framework and Data Retention & Security Policy, form the agreement governing your use of the Services.
If there is an inconsistency between these Terms and mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law will prevail.
